The Sudbury Kartsport Racing League although a new concept for Sudbury has existed for many years in Europe and more recently in the Canadian and American karting markets. Most people associate go-karting to family fun on your local go-kart track (sudburykartways.com) where you can show up hop in a "rental kart” or watch your children hop in a "rental kart” and have a blast going around the track. Well there is another side to "go-karting" and that is "kartsport" or organized kart racing. These are high speed (up to 50 mph) race tuned European race karts (BIREL n35x) designed to offer the driver (that be YOU!) a sense of what a real race kart feels like for a fraction of the cost. |

The race league is set up very similar to a kart racing club (sudburykartclub.com), including instruction, practice, qualifying and heat races with on track officials, rules and regulations, timing and a print out of your days results as well as championship points standings and awards. All supplied by Sudbury Kartsport as part of your membership fees and race event fees. The intent of our venture is to grow the sport of kart racing with the hope of sharing what all of us karters already know as "THE BEST KEPT SECRET OF MOTORSPORTS" Kart Racing!! |
